The Magic of Crouton-Crusting

Crouton-crusting isn't just a fancy term; it's a culinary technique that adds a delightful twist to the traditional way of enjoying fruits. The idea is to coat the fruit with crushed croutons, giving it a crispy exterior.

This enhances the texture and adds a savoury note, making it a perfect treat for those who love a mix of sweet and savoury flavours.

4 ripe peaches

1 pack of Tipiak Plain Croutons

2 tablespoons of honey

4-5 sprigs of fresh thyme

Carte d'Or Vanilla Ice Cream

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

In a food processor, crush the Tipiak plain croutons into small crumbs.

Cut the peaches in half, removing the pit.

Combine the honey and thyme leaves stripped from their sprigs in a small bowl. Heat this mixture in the microwave for about 15 seconds until the honey is warm and liquid. Stir to mix the thyme in.

Glaze each peach wedge in the honey-thyme mixture, then roll it in the crushed croutons, making sure it's well coated.

Place the crouton-crusted peach halves onto an oven dish.

Bake for around 20 minutes or until the crouton crust is toasted and the peaches are soft and golden.

Remove from the oven and serve with some vanilla ice cream.
